Governance Structure

Governance Structure

Southern Skies Montessori operates under a clear and accountable governance framework. The school is led by an experienced leadership team responsible for daily operations, educational quality, and student wellbeing. Oversight is provided by the Board of Directors, ensuring strategic direction, financial sustainability, and alignment with our mission and values.

This separation between governance and operational leadership ensures transparency, strong decision-making, and long-term stability.

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is made up of dedicated volunteer professionals with expertise in education, governance, finance, law, and community development. The Board provides strategic oversight, ensures regulatory compliance, and safeguards the mission and long-term sustainability of the school.

We maintain clear, robust policies across child safety, risk management, wellbeing, and operational compliance to ensure strong accountability and transparency.

Strong governance creates stability. Stability creates safety. And safety allows young people to learn and grow with confidence.

Child Safety

Child safety is our highest priority. We maintain comprehensive child protection policies and procedures that align with state and national requirements. All staff and board members undergo required screening and training to ensure a safe environment for every student.

We foster a culture where safety, respect, and dignity are embedded in daily practice, and where concerns are taken seriously and responded to promptly and transparently.

Risk & Compliance

As a Special Assistance School seeking registration, we are preparing to operate within state and federal regulatory frameworks. We maintain policies and systems that support compliance in areas including governance, finance, workplace health and safety, student wellbeing, and duty of care.

Regular review processes help ensure that our practices remain current, effective, and aligned with best practice standards.

Annual Reports

We are committed to transparency and accountability. Once operational, our annual reports will provide an overview of our strategic priorities, financial stewardship, enrolment data, and key outcomes.

These reports reflect our ongoing commitment to responsible governance and continuous improvement in service of our students and community.
